The "Global First Mass Production of Waterborne Barrier Technology on Paper Machines," jointly hosted by APP (Asia Pulp & Paper), BASF, and Dublin, was successfully held at the Shandong Bohui Paper Manufacturing Base. This launch marks the world's first mass-produced zero-plastic waterborne barrier food packaging paper, bringing a revolutionary technological breakthrough to the global green packaging industry and promoting a new landscape of green consumption.

The innovative technology of zero-plastic water-based barrier food packaging paper originates from the joint research and development of BASF's Joncryl water-based barrier environmentally friendly materials and Dublin's Bioten water-based barrier high-performance adhesives. This technology uses modern high-speed paper machines for one-piece molding, which can directly produce disposable food containers such as paper cups and paper bowls without secondary coating, greatly improving production efficiency and reducing the cost of using environmentally friendly materials, thereby reducing the burden on the environment.

In addition, zero-plastic water-based barrier food packaging paper not only has properties such as waterproof, oil-proof, high-temperature resistance and microwave heating, but also meets global environmental protection standards such as plastic-free, recyclable, biodegradable and compostable, which greatly reduces the risk of plastic pollution and further promotes the popularization and application of green consumption.
